Felix Charles

<div style="text-align: justify;">FELIX CHARLES<br /> &nbsp;</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">BORN April 2nd, 1932 in Chardonniere located in the Southern part of Haiti. He</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">was the last born to Asseline Rosembert Aka ( Grannyot) and Fabien Charles.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">After graduating high School, he decided to move to the beautiful city of Petion-</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Ville, to join His sister Mrs Anne Charles Boursiquot. In That beautiful city, he met</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">and married his belated wife Essaide Charles. They were married for 64 years,</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">they raised 6 children, until her passing in 2017. Besides caring for his own</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">children, my father also welcomed in many relatives that would migrate to live in</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Petion-Ville. In his early 20s he discovered one of his many passions in life,</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">masonry work.<br /> &nbsp;</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">He accomplished some big construction project such the building of The</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Presbyterian of St Peter church and Sainte Therese Church both located in Petion-</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Ville, where he worked hard and was promoted as a foreman.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">In 1971 Felix left his beloved Haiti and immigrated to the United States of</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">America. Where he reunited with his sister, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Shortly</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">after his arrival, he arranged to bring his two oldest children: Nadege and Fenol.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">In 1975 he sent for his wife and the rest of the children.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Though new to the country, the culture, and the language he worked full time at</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Children Hospital and part time at Mass General and finally he retired after</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">working for 32 years.<br /> &nbsp;</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">He loved his family and friends. Although he loved all his nieces and nephews, he</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">had a very special relationship with his nephew Jean Boursiquot, whom he viewed</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">not just as his nephew, but as one of his own sons. He valued friendship, and this</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">I witnessed, through the long friendship he had with Remy Prevoux who was</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">always there for him. Another person that was always around, was his cousin</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Walky Thorchon.<br /> &nbsp;</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Felix Charles was loved by many; his door was opened to All.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">In the end, he lived an accomplished life, through his survived 6 children, 18</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">On behalf of the family, we want to thank all that are here, families and friends</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">that are here to support us on this difficult day. The legacy goes on.</div>
