Royal Ace Every was born April 5, 1943 in Lafourche, La. to the union of Adam Every Jr. and Enola Thomas Every. He was raised in Marrero, La. and lived in Baton Rouge, La. Royal was employed with Waste Management as a machine operator for 25 years until his retirement in December 2020.

Ace, as he was affectionately called by his family and Cool Daddy by his friends for his smooth talking and “clean” attire was an avid New Orleans Saints fan. He loved entertaining and spending time with his family. Ace was the life of the party who enjoyed singing and dancing with his family and friends. His infectious smile will be forever missed as he completed his earthly life on Monday, September 13, 2021.

Ace leaves so much love and wonderful memories to cherish by his loving and devoted wife, Lela Mae Christor Every, four sons: Keith Mack, Sr. (Dorinda), Royal Ace Every Jr., Ken Every and Daniel Gage; eight daughters: Noreen and Tracey Every, Terry Every-Thompson, Trina Singleton (Thomas), Cheryl (Daniel), and Yolanda Robertson (Kevin), Carolyn Jackson (Timmie) and Sharon Gage (Phillip); brothers: Adam Every III, Cornell Every, Sr., and Ricardo “Rickey” Torregano (Latoya); sisters: Shirley Matthews, Mickey Torregano (Alfred), Kara Jackson (Gabriel), Maxine Every, and Thelma Mae Hunter; 28 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Royal is preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Enola Every, grandparents: Adam Every, Sr. and Amy Every, Roy and Cecila “Cat” Thomas; sisters: Corine Charles, Gail “Toney” Every, Louise “Weez” Every and Loise Sylve; brothers: Ernest “Larry” Every, Sr. and Leroy “Puggy” Every; and grandsons, Ken Every Mayfield and Keishon Every.

Visitation will be held from 4 pm - 7 pm. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Winnfield Funeral Home, 7221 Plank Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70811. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm, on Saturday September 25, 2021, at Fischer Community Church (1737 L B Landry Ave, New Orleans, LA 70114). Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery (8200 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA 70003).
