Michael J. (Zac) Zachary December 17, 1949 - September 13, 2021 South Bend - Michael J. Zachary, 71, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021. Mike was born December 17, 1949 to Phyllis Zachary Zmudzinski- Hagle, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by a son, Eric M. Zachary. On July 25, 1970 Mike married his partner in crime, Donna Kosmala, who survives, along with his remaining son, Adam M. (Heather) Zachary; granddaughters, Alexis N. Zachary (Brad McClure), Amanda Zachary, and grandson, Graham M. Zachary (Isis Fitzsimmons); brothers, Vincent (Sharon) Zmudzinski, Mark (Robin) Zmudzinski; and in-laws, Richard (Beckie) Kosmala and Stella Broskey. Mike retired from General Sheet Metal in 2012. He was a member of the American Legion 357, and the Chain O Lakes Conservation Club. He will be remembered by his many close friends and family for his quick sense of humor and his love of a good time which always involved a couple of beers. A big thank you to the staff and doctors at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center for their care and kindness. There will be no visitation or service per Mike’s request.
