Claudia Emily DeCoursey went home to the Lord on Tuesday September 14, 2021.  She was born July 12, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Anthony and Christine (Hren) Strah.  She lived in Shalersville for over 50 years.  She loved to laugh and spend time with her family.  She enjoyed Ohio sports, but most particularly the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns where she loved talking about the cardiac kids.  She loved to garden, do crafts and would talk to anyone and meet new people.  Her greatest achievements are her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her dear husband Donald Lee DeCoursey of more than 57 years, her great grandson Austin and siblings Tony Strah, Evelyn Strah and Rosey Misic.  She was a loving mother to Mavis (Roger) Howell, Claudette McCullough, Christie (Scott) Sullivan, Michelle (Darrell) Coe,  Suzette (Jerry) Tayerle, Donald (Terri) DeCoursey, Jr.  a grandmother of 19, great grandmother of 22 and sister to  Ken Strah, Sister Delores Strah, Lynn  Menuez, Tini Hurley and Sandy Fouts.  Calling hours will be TONIGHT Thursday September 16, 2021 from 6-8 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes  Streetsboro Chapel where funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday September 17, 2021.  Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery Mantua Twp., Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Claudia may be shared at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
