Evans, 77 of Campbellsport, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, with his family by his side.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">He was born on May 29, 1944, in Rocksprings, TX. Michael graduated from Sonora High School in TX and went on to graduate from Southwest Texas State in San Marcos, TX. He honorably served in the United States marines from 1966-1969 and was in the Vietnam War. On December 28, 1985, he was united in marriage to Gretchen Hefner. Michael enjoyed carpentry, hunting, and golfing. He especially loved his time with his family and will be missed.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Those Michael leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Gretchen; daughter, Kate (Andrew Simanek) Evans; sister, Melissa Young; brother, Jesse (Constance) Evans; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant son, Tyler Evans.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">A celebration of Life in remembrance of Michael will be held.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">The Myrhum-Patten Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Michael’s arrangements.
