<p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Mr. Federico &ldquo;Rico&rdquo; Alberto Foster, son of the late Fernando Alberto Foster, Marcia Foster, and Dr. Willis Blake, was born January 4, 1981 in Savannah, Georgia. He was educated within the Savannah Chatham County Public Schools district. In 1999 he graduated from Savannah High School. At an early age he became a faithful member of The Land of Rest Deliverance Ministries. As a member, he served faithfully as an Ordained Deacon and Trustee.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Mr. Foster followed his dream of imparting his love for music into the younger generation by returning to Savannah Chatham County Public Schools as a choral director and percussion instructor at Alfred E. Beach High School for two years. In 2016 he was passed the baton and named band director for The School of Liberal Studies at Savannah High School, where he served for six years. During his educational career, he was named WTOC&rsquo;s Top Teacher in 2019.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Federico A. Foster had a passion and love for music that he shared with all of his students at various schools and within the community. Because of his musical gifts and talents, he was offered the opportunity to work with the Savannah Music Festival Jazz Academy as trombone instructor.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Federico is a former member of Florida A&amp;M University &ldquo;Marching 100,&rdquo; and The Coastal Empire Sound Explosion band of Savannah State University. As a member of Savannah State&rsquo;s band, he was affectionately known as &ldquo;Rico Suave.&rdquo; Fernando was known as &ldquo;Spanish Fly,&rdquo; and Derrick was known as &ldquo;Bola.&rdquo; The three together were known as, &ldquo;The Bola Brothers.&rdquo; He was a member of the Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity Incorporated, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME), and endorsed by the Vic Firth Educational Team.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Mr. Foster was a Music Education Ph.D. student at Auburn University and received degrees from Savannah State University, Armstrong Atlantic State University, and Fielding Graduate University. He remained active throughout Savannah as a brass/percussion consultant and clinician.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Preceding his death was his beloved sister Angelica A. Foster. Federico A. Foster&rsquo;s life and memories will be cherished through, Marcia Foster (mother), Dr. Willis Blake (father); loving brothers, Fernando A. Foster (Erica) of Savannah, GA, Derrick Snead (Lia) of Columbia, SC, and Demetrius Blake (Earl), of Savannah, GA; William Crawford of Atlanta, GA, Kareem Jinks of Savannah, GA, and Monike &ldquo;Nikki&rdquo; Cooper. His legacy will live on through his niece, Kayla S. Foster; nephews, Evan Swindell, Aaron Foster, and Ka&rsquo;Ron Williams.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">He will be forever missed by all of his family members and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.</span></span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Public viewing will be held 5:00 p.m. &ndash; 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2021 in the chapel of Campbell &amp; Sons Funeral Home, 124 West Park Ave., Savannah, GA. 31401. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Jesus First The Community Church,&nbsp; 2202 US Hwy 80 West, Garden City, GA. 31408. Interment ~ Greenwich Cemetery, 330 Bonaventure Road, Thunderbolt, GA. 31404.</span></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">**Please note: Seating is limited.
