Dennis Raymond Tyson, Sr., age 71, of East Dublin, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021.

Mr. Tyson was self-employed in the construction industry and enjoyed spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Susie Mae Tyson.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Tyson, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Paula Tyson, of East Dublin; daughter, Lisa Macklin, of East Dublin; grandchildren, Torri Denise Mays, of Buffalo, NY, Ashlee Ann Johnson (Lee,) of East Dublin, Holland Cole Macklin, of East Dublin, and Brayzen Tyson, of Cochran; great-grandchildren, Amber Denise McNeal, of Fuquay Varina, NC, and Jackson Boone, of Buffalo, NY and Liam Tucker Johnson, Finn Reese Johnson, and Rilah Annslee Johnson, all of East Dublin; brothers, Eddie Tyson, Jeffrey Tyson, and Waylon Tyson, all of East Dublin; sisters, Tammy Marie Smith (Ricky), Rachel Tyson, and Amanda Tyson, all of East Dublin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 3:00 PM in the Wilkes Church of the Nazarene Cemetery. Pastor Rickie Holmes will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Cole Macklin, Amos Tyson, Joshua Tyson, Corey Tyson, Paul Schmittel, and Devin Couey.
