Mansfield, Maureen Teresa (November 4, 1934 – September 14, 2021) –

It is with deep sadness that we the family announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Maureen Teresa (nee Yardley) Mansfield, formerly of Tillsonburg, on Tuesday, September 14th, 2021, at Huron Lodge, Windsor, at the age of 86. Born in Northern Ireland, to the late George Yardley and the late Ellen P. (Pimley) Yardley. Maureen is survived by her loving husband of 67 wonderful years, Derek Mansfield. Cherished mother of Teresa Mansfield and Julie Roesel (William). Grandmother of John, Cheryl (Robert) and Shaun and great-grandmother of MiaBella, Xzavier and Brayden. Predeceased by her brother Christopher Yardley.

In keeping with Maureen’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 18th, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes – Burial and Cremation Services Inc. Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg by Chaplain Tina Dias. Immediately prior to the Memorial Service, all who knew Maureen are invited to attend a public visitation on Saturday, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Due to government covid-related restrictions, all guests must pre-register for an available time slot via Maureen’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or by calling the funeral home between 9a.m. and 4p.m. All attendees are required to wear a face covering and are asked to always maintain social distancing guidelines. All who knew Maureen are encouraged to offer their support and care by posting photos, by sharing special memories and hugs from home on Maureen’s online tribute page. Memorial donations to the “Parkinson’s Society Southwestern Ontario” would be gratefully acknowledged by the family and can be contributed through the Maurice J.
