Frank Albert "Sonny" Scott

<p>Frank Albert &ldquo;Sonny&rdquo; Scott, Sr. of Middletown, Delaware passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at his home. He was born on November 13, 1928 in Elkton, Maryland. He was the son of the late Wyatt Scott and Ethel Lloyd and stepfather John Lloyd. He served in the United States Marine Corp and was honorably discharged.&nbsp;</p> <p>&ldquo;Sonny&rsquo;s&rdquo; early schooling was in the Middletown, Delaware area. He attended Delaware State High School in Dover, Delaware. He also attended Delaware Vo-tech School where he obtained his GED.</p> <p>He worked for the DuPont Company Stine-Haskell Labs where he retired after 30 plus years. He also worked for Acme Markets in Middletown, Delaware and retired after 10 years of employment.&nbsp;</p> <p>He enjoyed traveling and watching his favorite TV shows: Perry Mason, The Andy Griffin Show, and Gomer Pyle just to name a few. He also enjoyed watching his favorite westerns: Gunsmoke, Wagon Train, The Rifleman, and Wanted: Dead or Alive. He had several football teams that he enjoyed watching over the years: Pittsburg Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings.</p> <p>In addition to his parents, Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his wife Corrine Scott, former wife Avree Scott, sons Frank Scott, Jr. and Warren Tyrone Scott, Howard and Frances Hopkins a very special aunt and uncle who raised him.</p> <p>He leaves to mourn his loss and cherish so many memories: three daughters: Doris Scott of Smyrna, DE, Trisha Scott of Dover, DE, Pamela Scott Hilliard and a very special son-in-law Gregory Hilliard Smyrna, DE,</p> <p>Three sons: James A. Scott, Sr. (Deborah) of Dover, DE, Dennis Scott (Pandora) of Middletown, DE, David Scott (Cathy) of Browns Mills, NJ. daughter &ndash;in-Law: Sharon Scott of Chestertown , MD,&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Two sisters: Betty Todd and&nbsp;&nbsp;Martina Ortiz of Middletown, DE, Best friend of many years and co-worker Steve Haman.</p> <p>He also leaves to cherish his memory: 19 Grandchildren, 47 Great Grandchildren and 12 Great Great Grandchildren and a Host of nieces, nephews and cousins.</p> <p>Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Holy Trinity Church of The Living God, 425 W. Division Street, Dover where viewing will begin at 9:30. &nbsp;Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September &nbsp;20, 2021 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.</p>
