Alice Faye Jackson

”She is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future,” Proverbs 31:25. Sister Alice Faye Jackson (Faye) was born on March 16, 1945 in Pineville, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Dorothy Parker and James Webb. Both parents preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jackson Jr and her youngest son, Robert Jackson Jr III; one sister: Doris Maria Webb; three brothers: Larry Parker, Forest Mills, and James Roosevelt Webb. She departed this life on September 12, 2021 at her residence surrounded by the love of her family. Alice will be forever loved and missed by her children: Sandra Jackson of California; Toni Austin, Darrell Jackson, Elnora Jackson and Robert L. Jackson (Snoopy) all of Alexandria; Linda Johnson (Kenneth) of Georgia; Daniel Jackson of Florida, and Kevin Jackson (Alma) of Simmesport. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving seventeen grandchildren, eigthteen great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. She also leaves her siblings: three sisters: Irma Moore, Delia Campbell, and Barbara Harris; three brothers: David Parker, James Jones and Tippy Webb; one Aunt, Helen Brooks and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, church members and friends. Alice will also be missed by her life-time friends Mary and Woodrow Wilson. Alice accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior as a young woman and was baptized at the Smyrna Seventh Day Adventist Church and remained a member until she passed. She was a faithful Deaconess, Senior Choir member and served in the Community Service Department. Alice loved the Lord and was faithful to Him. She was referred to affectionately as “Mama Alice.” She was a Mother to the church school, Smyrna Jr Academy by providing meals and any volunteer assistance the Teachers needed. Her caring and giving spirit of love will be missed. A service celebrating her life and legacy will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Smyrna Seventh Day Adventist Church, 916 Richmond Drive, Alexandria, LA 71302. Public Viewing and Visitation will begin at 10am and continue until the start of service at 11am. Alice will be taken to the Garden of Memories Cemetery for final committal rites. Please keep the Alice Jackson family in prayer.
