Danae L. Smith (nee Slider) of Upper Darby passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021. Danae was born on October 4, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Horace and Ruth (Taylor) Slider. She was 82. 
She graduated from Upper Darby High School class of 1956. She went on to attend classes at Peirce Business School to pursue secretarial skills. She was most recently employed by the Reformed Episcopal Seminary in Philadelphia retiring in 2009. She served as Assistant to the Librarian, Registrar, and an Administrative Secretary.
She is survived by her husband Rudolph Smith, whom she married on February 14, 1959. Also, she is survived by her children Rudy (Julie Pan) Smith of Schwenksville, and Kathryn (Doug) Honea of Upper Darby, 4 granddaughters, and 5 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Road, Broomall, PA 19008, where friends may call after 10:00 AM.
Interment to follow in Westminster Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd. Memorials may be sent in Danae’s memory to St. Matthew’s RE Church, 200 Glen Gary Drive, Havertown, PA 19083 
Open casket will be available from 10 to 10:30 AM. The casket will be closed at 10:30 AM.  The Funeral Service will begin at 11 AM.
The family will receive guests in another room from 10 to 10:30 AM, then proceed to the main parlor after the casket is closed to greet friends.
