Millicent Loua “Milli” Courney of Sequim, Washington, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. She was 92. Milli was born November 19, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, to George Henry and Adeline Mary (Day) Osborne. On August 13, 1949, she married Clark Courney. Although Milli held a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, her primary job was the Nobelist of all as wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She moved to Sequim in 1990 to be closer to family and to enjoy the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula. She enjoyed mountain hikes, driftwood art, gem finishing, scooter excursions, antiquing and living the RV lifestyle. She was an active member of both Sequim Bible Church and Sequim Community Church. She leaves behind her children, sons Timothy Courney of New Carlisle, OH and Daniel (Sandi) Courney of Lynnwood, WA; daughters, Rebecca (Craig) Danielson of Dayton, Ohio, and Sarah (Randy) Vanausdle of Sequim, WA. Other survivors include six grandchildren, Jennifer Brick, Jonathan (Lana) Courney, Evan Danielson, Lauren (Paul) Kuhr, Eric (Jenni) Danielson, and Meagan (Allison); six great grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents, husband Clark Courney; son, Andrew Courney and a grandson Justin Jackson. A private Graveside Service was held at Sequim View Cemetery on June 15, 2021. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County. Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the family. (360) 683-5242.
