Guillermo Alvarez

Guillermo Álvarez was born in Cadereyta Jiménez, Nuevo León México. He went to a Monterey College where he obtained an AA in Business Administration. He worked for 50 years as a broom maker, and for 25 years after retirement, he loved his work at his flea market booth. He was very passionate about baseball and was a faithful fan to his beloved San Francisco Giants. He also loved going to the local casinos. He was a people’s man and his easy attitude made him many friends! Guillermo is preceded in death by his son, Luis G. Alvarez, and his grandson, Luis G. Alvarez Jr. He is survived by his wife Herminia C. Alvarez and his children Rodrigo C. (Jovita) Alvarez, Juany C. (Rod) Rehling, Leticia C. (Jose) Gomez, Hugo A. Alvarez, Miriam C. Alvarez, Osvaldo C. (Heidi) Alvarez, Claudia C. Alvarez, and Octavio C. Alvarez, 21 grandchildren, and 37 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be on Friday September 17 from 9 A.M. – 11 A.M. at Collins Family Funeral Home 123 N. School street with a graveside service immediately following at 11:30 at Lodi memorial Cemetery 5750 E. Pine St.
