Joseph Patrick “Pat” Baudier Sr. of Lacombe, Louisiana passed away on September 14, 2021 at the age of 87 after several months of battling various health issues and finally succumbing to cancer.
Pat was born on March 19, 1934 in New Orleans. A graduate of Jesuit High School and long-time member of the Knights of Columbus, he was an active member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church where he regularly attended Mass. He was also a regular attendee of yearly retreats at Manresa for over 50 years.
In his retirement, after many years in the auto repair business, he enjoyed woodworking, golf, and Cajun dancing and was a long time member of the Northshore Cajun Dancers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J. Ralph Baudier Sr. and Corrine Baudier and siblings Raymond Baudier, A.J. Baudier, and Anita Hunter.
Pat is survived by his wife of 63 years, Estelle Schneider Baudier; siblings, J. Ralph Baudier Jr., Donald Michael Baudier, Edna Majoue', and Agnes Foto; his children, J. Patrick Baudier Jr. (Nina), Timmy Baudier (Allison), Annette Cochrane (Patrick), Jeffrey Baudier (Cherie), Rachel Elsensohn (Tate), and Nicol Rabalais (Herbie); his 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church located at 61030 Brier Lake Dr. in Lacombe, La 70445. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Face masks will be required in church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Disable American Veterans are preferred.
