He is survived by his parents Ted and Marie (Drake) Schrage, his brother Randy Schrage, and his sisters Elayne (Russell) Cripe and Evelyn (Stephen) Knebel. He was born in Centralia and grew up in rural Pocahontas. He attended Pocahontas and Greenville Schools. He worked with his family on the family farm and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
