<p class="show-read-more" id="descr" itemprop="description">Rev. Conrad E. Stone, age 86, passed away at his home Friday, January 25, 2013. He is survived by his wife Virginia &quot;Ginny&quot; Stone, his children Lance Stone, Judy Kalber, Eva (Lothar) Kleinertz, David (Sherry) Stone, Steve Stone, and Becky Sokolinski, his step-sons Robert Rhoades and William Rhodes, 17 grandchildren, 1 step-granddaughter, and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, two brothers Norman Stone and Wayne Stone, and a step-daughter Terri Voils. He married Dorothy Marie Alberternst on April 10, 1948. She died September 16, 1979. He then married Virginia &quot;Ginny&quot; Rowan on June 3, 1980 in Greenville, IL. He was reared in the Pleasant Mound and Greenville areas. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy. After the navy he worked for the railroad in several capacities. After he retired from the railroad he worked for a while in real estate. He also pastored The Donnellson Baptist Church and The Columbus Baptist Church. He retired from full time pastoring at age 85 but was still serving the Lord as Assistant Pastor at Columbus Baptist Church and interim pastor at Grace Fellowship Church in Panama, IL.
