CHESAPEAKE- Grace Barnes, 99, died September 14, 2021. A native of St. George, SC, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Barnes; daughter, Beverly Barnes Talbot; and four siblings. She was a member of Geneva Park Church of Christ. Grace is survived by her son-in-law, George Talbot and wife Carol; two nephews, Peter D. Weathers, Jr. and Russell A. Weathers; and several other nieces and nephews. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Ronda and Trish for their love and excellent care over the past years. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 24, at 11 AM in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will be in the Barnes Family Cemetery.
