THE CASEY FAMILY HAS BEEN HONORED TO ASSIST AND CARE FOR THE FAMILY OF PAMELA RYAN Dedicated Registered Nurse WATERTOWN – Pamela A. Ryan, age 70 of Glastonbury formerly of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at the Cook Willow Nursing Home in Plymouth after an extended illness. Pam was born on October 26, 1950 in Waterbury the daughter of the late Edward F. Ryan Jr and Rosemary (Whiston) Ryan. She was the granddaughter of the late Patrick J, Whiston and Laurena B. Whiston, and the late Edward F. Ryan, and Augusta Ryan. She began her successful career in healthcare as a graduate of the St. Francis Hospital, School of Nursing where she was the recipient of the Sophie Ross Award for the most compassionate nurse for her graduating class of 1971. She worked at St. Francis Hospital as a registered nurse, a nurse educator at The School of Nursing and then went on to work as a clinical specialist at Hewlett Packard and Phillips Medical Systems. In high school, Pamela was an avid tennis player and enjoyed many crafts throughout her life. She enjoyed cooking, had a wonderful flair for interior design and loved the holidays, especially Christmas and Halloween. Pam will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her. Left to cherish her memory and honor her legacy are her brother, Edward F. Ryan III and his wife, Donna Horbachuk of Watertown, her sister, Laurene Ryan of VT, her nephews and grandnieces. Pamela’s family would like to acknowledge with personal gratitude the entire staff at Cook Willow Nursing Home and the team at Seasons Hospice for the superior care and love they shared with Pamela and her family throughout her illness. The efforts and kindness they provided went far beyond what was required and very much appreciated. Funeral services for Ms. Ryan were held privately and at the convenience of her family. She was interred in the family plot at Evergreen Cemetery, Watertown. The O’Neill Funeral Home has been honored to assist the Ryan family during this difficult time.
