Phillip Gene Smith, Jr., Seminole resident, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021, in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Phillip was born on January 19, 1977, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Phillip Gene Smith, Sr. and Sherry Lee (Abney) Winlock. 

Phillip was a welder and enjoyed creating and building new things.  He loved to praise the Lord and played music at church often.  His hobbies included playing his beloved guitar, fishing for relaxation and cracking a joke every now and then.  His greatest accomplishments were his two children who he cherished and was extremely proud of.  His life was an example of his favorite bible verse: “Be kind and compassionate to one another; forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”  Ephesians 4:32.

Phillip is survived by his father, Phillip Gene Smith, Sr. of Seminole, OK; son, Tristan Smith of Siloam Springs, AR; daughter, Madison Smith of Siloam Springs, AR; two sisters, Stacy Walker and husband, Brian of San Angelo, TX and Shannon Stallings and husband, Barry of Tecumseh, OK; nieces and nephews, Jordan Stallings of Shawnee, OK, Garrett and Emery Stallings of Tecumseh, OK and Morgan, Mackenzie and Tyler Walker of San Angelo, TX and many other family and friends.

Phillip was preceded in death by his mother, Sherry Winlock; maternal grandparents, Elmer and Tanya Abney and paternal grandparents, Raymond and Florence Smith.

Those serving as casket bearers will be Gary Cordell, Brian Walker, Barry Stallings, Jordan Stallings, Garrett Stallings and Emery Stallings.  Honorary casket bearer will be Jimmy Hendricks.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., at Little Cemetery, with Pastor Mike Worrell officiating.
