Ritchie Carter, 53, of Peachtree City, GA passed away on September 12, 2021, at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. He was born on September 28, 1967, in Marietta, GA.

He was a member of Dogwood Church in Tyrone, GA. He worked as an aircraft mechanic for Northwest Airlines and Lockheed Martin.

Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Shelly Carter; daughters Megan and her husband Robbie Tschorn, of Woods Cross, UT; and Courtney Brown and her husband Dr. Michael Brown of Honolulu, Hawaii; mother, Swannie Carter; and his father- and mother-in-law, Dr. John and Brenda Turner.

Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his father, Robert Carter.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 16, at Dogwood Church, 975 Hwy. 74 North, Tyrone, GA 30290, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jay Vineyard officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:30 to 12:30 and will observe a private graveside service following the funeral.
