Elsie A DaVault Obituary

Elsie A. DaVault, age 79, of Zalma, Mo. passed away on September 13th, 2021, at Woodland Hills nursing home, Marble Hill, MO. She was born February 15, 1942, in Bell City, MO, the daughter of George Washington and Clarissa (Porter) McCulley, the youngest of 14 children. She married Jerry DaVault on September 23, 1959. The family moved to Illinois from Missouri in 1972. Elsie worked for many years at Knowles Electronics in Elgin, making hearing aids before retiring and moving to Zalma, MO. Elsie loved Christ and was an active member of Twin Oaks Baptist church for many years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her spouse of 62 years, Jerry DaVault, Zalma, MO; three children and their spouses, daughter Carole (Troy) Poplin of Kirkland, IL, daughter Michelle Ahrens of Rustin, LA, and son Tony (Paula) DaVault of Elgin, IL; sister Mae Hale of Irvington, IL; 10 grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Geraldine Wiseman, and many nieces and nephew She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Columbus, Andrew, Junior, Gene, Freddie, George, and Everett; Sisters, Frances, Anna, Berniece, Neva, and Naomi; brother-in-law, Paul Davault; sister-in-law, Eula Long ; son-in-law, Timothy Ahrens; sibling-in-law, Charlie Wiseman and Everett Long. Visitation will be held on September 16th, 2021, at 10:00am until the time of service at Noon at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, it will be immediately followed by a graveside burial ceremony in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill, Missouri. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements were under the care of Liley Funeral Homes
