William J. Lamas Obituary

William J. Lamas, 70, of Forks Township, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, in St. Luke’s Hospital-Anderson Campus. Born April 12, 1951, in Easton, PA, he was a son of the late John C. and Myrtle G. (Brightbill) Lamas. He and his wife, Ora Lyn (DeCresci) Lamas, celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary on June 24, 2021. Bill graduated from Easton Area High School Class of 1969 where he was a wrestler. He served with the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was last employed by Easton Coach Company. Previously, he and his brother, Larry, owned and operated 1818 Tavern. Bill and his wife were foster parents for over 20 years. He enjoyed puzzles and trips to Atlantic City casinos. Surviving in addition to his wife, Ora, are three sons, Shane Lamas and his wife Jenna and Jason Lamas, both of Palmer Township and Nathan Lamas and his companion Susan Shannon, of Forks Township; a step-daughter, Stephanie DeLeon and her companion George Costa, of Bethlehem Township; two step-sons, Stephen DeLeon, Jr. and his wife Adrienne, of Bethlehem Township and Kevin DeLeon and his wife Alyssa, of Forks Township; a brother, Larry J. Lamas, of Wilkes Barre and eleven grandchildren. Services will be held at 2pm Friday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call Friday 1-2pm in the funeral home.
