Joyce A. Stapleton, age 79 of Fairborn, passed away September 13, 2021.  She was born August 25, 1942 in Magoffin Co., Kentucky,  the daughter of the late Sherman and May (Hartsock) Helton.  Joyce enjoyed quilting and especially loved spending time with her family.   She was a longtime member of Faith Hill Church of God.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry; and brother, Bud Helton.  Joyce is survived by her loving husband, William; two sons, Gary (Beth) Stapleton, Donnie “Bones” Stapleton; two grandchildren, Chaz (Valery) Stapleton, Hailey Stapleton; great-grandson, Amos Stapleton; three sisters, Elva (Raleigh) Jenkins, Ina (Calvin) Lyons, Betty Jenkins; brother, Gene Helton; as well as extended family.  A funeral service will be held on Friday September 17, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Steve Wagoner officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. until the time of service.  Contributions in lieu of flowers may be sent to Faith Hill Church of God.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
