Alice Ann (Mistor) McGuckin, age 83, of Perrysburg Ohio, passed away peacefully September 13, 2021 with her love ones by her side. Alice was born March 30, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to John and Caroline Mistor. She attended St. Hedwig High School in Detroit and went on to work at the Ford Motor Credit Union where she met her husband, Thomas E McGuckin. They were married on April 20, 1963 and celebrated 58 years of marriage this year. Alice was a wonderful mother taking on the duties of the household, child rearing, and the chauffer to all hockey games, near and far, where she would cheer on her three sons, Tom, John, and Tim. Alice was co-owner of the Shoreline Café with her husband, Tom, and she managed the restaurant/bar business close to 20 years. In addition, to helping run the business, Alice loved to cook. For many years, she had a catering business with one of her closest friends, JoAnne. The creation of the wedding meal was only part of the catering fun; talking, catching up, and laughing with friends was also part of the ingredients as well. After selling the restaurant/bar business, Alice retired to spend her summers at the family lakehouse in Michigan where she could see her grandchildren swimming, fishing, boating, laughing, and one of her favorite grandchild past-times, playing cards. Alice will be missed as she was the bedrock that our family was built on providing a living example of what it is to be selfless always giving her time to family and friends. Alice is survived by her husband, Thomas E McGuckin Sr, and her sons, Thomas E McGuckin Jr (Beverly), John A McGuckin (Elena), and Tim P McGuckin (Jessica) and her grandchildren, Connor, Calum, Gavin, Michael, Brandon, Liam, Caroline, and Travis. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Caroline Mistor, and brother, Leonard Mistor. Services for Alice were private.
