Joseph O. "Chez" Andrade, Sr., 83, of Goldsmith Avenue, East Providence passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the former husband of Evelyn Andrade.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Sebastian and Mary (Gonsalves) Andrade. Mr. Andrade was a Chef at Woolworths, Brown University and Raytheon. He was a nightclub manager at Tillie Kings and Club David and also worked in construction for many years. Mr. Andrade was a coach for Washington Park Little League.

He leaves two sons, Richard A. Andrade of Providence and Joseph O. Andrade, Jr. and his wife Jean of East Providence, two grandchildren, Richard A. Andrade, Jr. and Justine E. Santucci, five great grandchildren and three sisters, Beverly Roderick of Tampa, Florida, Nancy Santos of East Providence and Matilda Szarwak of West Warwick. He was the grandfather of the late Jojo and brother of the late Anthony Andrade, Richard Andrade, Jennie Gomes, Elizabeth Farrales and Judith Harris.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 3-7 PM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. The guidelines set forth by the Rhode Island Department of Health will be observed. Face coverings are required and only fifteen people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time. Funeral services will be private.
