<p>Mary A. Peno, 85, of Hazard Ave passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015. She was the wife of the late Sabin A. Peno. Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Robert M. and Virginia (Miranda) Lima. Mary worked as a Secretary for the Diocese of Providence as well as a Teachers Aid for the East Providence School Department before retiring. She was a member of the Cape Verdean Progressive Center. She leaves one son, Thomas J. Peno and his wife Kathy of Riverside, one daughter Delores "Lori" Cooper of Florida, one sister, Gina Correia of Warwick, one brother, Pash Lima of East Greenwich, four grandchildren and her great grandchildren, and her dear friend Manuel Soares of Warren. She was the mother of the late Richard Peno and Patrice Peno and the sister of the late Anthony "Tony" Lima and Manuel Lima. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Martha's Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours Sunday 5-7. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Special Olympics of Rhode Island, ATTN: Donations, 370 George Washington Highway, Smithfield, RI 02917.</p>
