Russell A. Ainsworth
<p>Russell A. Ainsworth, 72, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Donna E. (Roy) Ainsworth.</p><p>Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Russell and Elsie (Morgan) Ainsworth. Russ was a maintenance technician for the V.A. Medical Center in Providence before he retired. Prior to that he was an independent contractor for twenty years and was also a truck driver for Brooks and M.S. Carriers. He was an avid golfer and was a former member of the Pawtucket Country Club, The Rhode Island Yacht Club and the Democratic Club in Barrington. He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Elks. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.</p><p>Besides his wife he leaves one son, Aaron Ainsworth and his wife Kelly of Rehoboth, one stepdaughter, Amy Proulx Landis and her husband Chris of Brooklyn, CT., six grandchildren, Olivia, Eva, Finn, Kate, Molly and Luke and one sister, Debra Goudreau and her husband Paul of Seekonk.</p><p>Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 5-8 PM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822 on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 10:30 AM. Those who are attending the burial are asked to meet in front of the administration building inside the cemetery gates at 10:15.
