Hilda Moniz, 93, of Plymouth Road, East Providence passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Benjamin M. Moniz.

Born in Rabo de Peixe, Sao Miguel, Azores she was a daughter of the late Antonio Albano Pimentel and Diamantina Nunes. Mrs. Moniz was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church and was a woman of great faith. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She leaves seven children, Jose Albano Moniz and his wife Fatima, Benjamin Moniz and his wife Fatima, Filomena Botelho and her husband John, Jean Moniz, Walter Moniz, Lorena Moniz and John Moniz, six grandchildren, Jeffrey, Catherine, Marc, Carolyn, Kevin and Andrea and seven great grandchildren, Miguel, Zarah, Annabelle, Aliya, Ariana, Victoria and Coralie.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-8. Please omit flowers.
