Michael A. Addlesberger Obituary

Michael A. Addlesberger

YORK – Michael Anthony Addlesberger, 57, entered into rest on Sunday, September 12, 2021.  He passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side at UPMC West Shore Hospital after a long, hard fought four week battle with Covid.  He was the loving husband of Marijo L. (Geier) Addlesberger.  The couple celebrated 34 years of marriage on May 22, 2021.

Born November 8, 1963 in York, Michael was a son of Constance L. (Bentzel) Addlesberger of Dover and the late Kenneth E. Addlesberger.

He graduated in 1981 from York High School.

Michael owned and operated Addlesberger Roofing, LLC since 1998 and was also a property investor.  He was a member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791.

He enjoyed going crabbing with his wife, family and friends at the beach on their pontoon boat and eating their “catch of the day”.  Michael was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who loved spoiling (and “tormenting”) his grandchildren.  His family meant the world to him and he would do anything for any of them.

In addition to his wife and mother, Michael is survived by his three children, Bret M. Addlesberger and wife, Jessica of Dover, Keila M. Weary and husband, Brandon of York and Ryan L. Addlesberger and wife, Charleen of Dover; three grandchildren, Ashton and Dylan Addlesberger and Miley Weary; two sisters, Stephanie A. King and companion, Michael Henschke and Michele L. Love and husband, John, all of York; and his beloved dog, Jax.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Michael’s funeral at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  The viewings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Salem Union Cemetery in Dover.  Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier, pastor of Grace UCC in Hanover.
