<p>Eugenia F. “Baby” (Fernandes) Brown, 81, of Providence, RI passed away peacefully on Monday, May 24, 2021, surrounded by her family.</p><p>She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clarence Brown, Sr.</p><p>Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Santos) Fernandes.</p><p>She was a longtime resident of Melbourne Beach, Florida where she was affectionately known as “Jeannie” to her many cherished friends. She was an avid tennis player and enjoyed working on puzzles and "pour at four" with friends. Eugenia was truly an angel who will be sorely missed by all.</p><p>She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Clarence Brown, Jr. and his wife Nicole and Peter Brown, Sr. and his wife Ana, one daughter, Marcia Brown, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one brother Zachary Fernandes her special nieces, Linda Washington and Cheryl Lewis and many other nieces and nephews. She was the aunt of the late Denise Costa and Mark Santos and sister of the late Isabel Santos.</p><p>A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 28, 2021, at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 21 Traverse Street, Providence. Burial will be private. Calling hours respectfully omitted.</p>

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clarence Brown, Sr.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Santos) Fernandes.
