Edward F. Sullivan Jr., of Cranston passed away Monday July 24, 2017 at Orchard View Manor. He was the husband of Lynne M. (Corey) Sullivan. Born in Providence he was a son of the late Edward F. and Elizabeth (Dyer) Sullivan. Edward worked as an attorney in his own law office, was a member of the Massachusetts Bar, and he received admission to the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. He also retired as a police officer from Dedham, MA in 1981, and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War where he served in the 101st Airborne and received the Bronze Star. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and URI Men’s Basketball. In addition to his wife he is survived by four children Michael A. Sullivan of Saco, ME, Stephen P. Sullivan and his wife Rachel of North Kingstown, Meghann C. Sullivan of Cranston, Bryan E Sullivan and his wife Lauren of Seekonk, three siblings David Sullivan of Denver, CO, Doris Messina and her husband Thomas of North Stonington, CT, Beth Sullivan of Mystic Village, CT, and two grandchildren Declan and Keilan Sullivan. His funeral service will be held on Monday July 31, 2017 at 11 AM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours Sunday from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to National Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suiter 800, Miami, FL 33131.
