Richard A. "Dick" Sorel 72, of Seekonk Massachusetts passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Linda A. (Caruso) Sorel. Born in Winsted, Connecticut he was a son of the late Herman and Sally (Bosco) Sorel. Mr. Sorel joined SSA to market Ski Card on campus via ski clubs. He was President of Student Ski Association, 1967-2013 and SSA Marketing. He attended Bryant College. He met his wife, Linda Caruso at Mount Snow and it was love at first sight. Mr. Sorel had a passion for golf and was a longtime member of Wannamoisett Country Club, where he served on the board of directors. Besides his wife he was the devoted father of David Sorel of Colorado and Marc Sorel of Rumford. He also leaves two brothers, Wayne Sorel of Connecticut and Donald Sorel of Florida. His funeral will be on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the Seekonk Congregational Church, 600 Fall River Ave, Seekonk. Burial will be in Rumford Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue East Providence.
