Daniel Ambrosio
Daniel Ambrosio, 86 of Oak Ridge, NJ, passed away on September 12, 2021. Dan grew up in Fairview, NJ and attended Cliffside Park High School where he met the love of his life, Mary Ann Fager. They married and raised 5 children in both Fairview and Hazlet, NJ. He proudly served in the Navy Reserves for 8 years. Dan worked as a truck driver for Ward Trucking and after 33 years, he retired and moved with Mary Ann to Port St. Lucie, FL. Six years later, they returned home to New Jersey and settled in Toms River, where they resided for over 20 years. Dan enjoyed tinkering with cars, traveling, was an avid reader, and history buff. More than anything else, he enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. Dan is survived by his 4 daughters: Kathleen Marxen and her husband James, Debra Matluk and her husband Robert, Susan Sotkovsky and her husband Mark, Jo-Ann Costantino and her husband Anthony and his daughter-in-law Valerie Ambrosio. He is also survived by his 3 brothers: Anthony, Mario, Joseph, and his sister Mary Divock. Dan is the proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren: Lucas, Jesse, Lance, Paul, Jillian, Nicole, Victoria, Danielle, Michael, David, Katie, Ryan, Matthew, Kelsey and Lindsey. He also has 6 great grandchildren: Ezra, Silas, Alexandria, Desmond, Emelia and Danny. He is predeceased by his wife Mary Ann and his son Daniel. Visitation will be Saturday, September 18, 2021 at M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, 9:30-12:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.November 20, 1934 - September 12, 202111/20/193409/12/2021
