Delores Maglio (Frugale), age 90, of New Britain, CT, passed away on Monday, September 13th, 2021. She is survived by Angelo (Mike) Maglio, her husband of 71 years. She was a life long resident of New Britain, attended the local schools, and raised her three children in the town she loved. Known to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as Ama, she loved nothing more than to spend time with her family, sharing her endless wisdom on how to win at Old Maid, how to bake the perfect pie, and the secrets for success for a seven decade-long marriage, some of which were always being independent and never losing your sense of self. She worked at Bradlee’s Department Store in New Britain for many years, showing us first hand what hard work and independence looked like. Delores and Mike spent their winters in Florida for 20 years, welcoming any and everyone to go visit, where she took her grandchildren to the pool, to ice cream sundae parties, and of course, to play bingo. She also loved going to the casino, and she always knew the lucky machines to pick! Delores is preceded in death by her parents Michael and Elizabeth Frugale, sisters Rose Cordingly, and Elizabeth Moore, and brothers Michael Frugale and Thomas Frugale. She is survived by sisters Janice Pace, Ruth Demar, and Elaine Golan, as well as her son Greg Maglio, daughters Laurel Reagan, and Susan Langer, many nieces and nephews; and five grandchildren and five great grandchildren who were lucky enough to make so many wonderful memories with their Ama.
