Marjorie A. Senkins-Willard Obituary

Marjorie Ann Senkins-Willard was born in North Platte, Nebraska on August 10, 1946 to Kenneth and Helen (Mecham) Shinley. At a young age, she moved to the Denver area, where she completed her education.

Marge was employed for many years as an administrative assistant and switchboard operator at IHS Inc., Englewood, CO.  Ill health forced her retirement in 2010.

Marge’s first husband, Richard Senkins, passed away in April 2003. She married Dana Willard in Castle Rock, CO on August 15, 2007. After Dana’s retirement in 2019, they moved to the Redlands area of Grand Junction.

Marge loved to travel, having taken several cruises in the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Alaska. She also took a tour of Italy, with the highlight being at the Vatican on Palm Sunday.

She made several Jeep trips with husband, Dana, and friends to Moab and Silverton. Her declining health eventually made those trips too difficult, but she often reminisced about seeing the cactus blooming and the mountain wildflowers.

After a long battle with COPD, Marge passed away on September 12, 2021, with her husband, Dana, at her side. At Marge’s request, no services will be held.

She was a kind and caring person who made friends with everyone she met. Her giving and generous spirit continued after her death by being an organ and tissue donor.

We will miss Marge’s smiling, warm embraces when entering the room, gracing us with her cheery presence, uplifting all of us with her positive nature.

May you rest in peace, Marge, knowing you left behind a family who will embrace your memory whenever we gather.
