Harold "Opie" House

<p>Harold &ldquo;Opie&rdquo; House, 49, of Paris Crossing, passed away at 12:23 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Columbus Regional Hospital.</p> <p>Born April 3, 1972, in Columbus, he was the son of Sammy House Sr. and Janet P. (Wilson) House.</p> <p>Opie was a 1990 graduate of Jennings County High School and was currently working as a lead grinding engineer for NTN Driveshaft where he has been employed for 26 years. He previously worked for the former Dolly Madison Bakery in Columbus for two years. Opie was a member of the NRA and enjoyed fishing, working on cars, mud bogging, playing pool, cooking, and making wine.</p> <p>He is survived by his sons, Bret (Madison) Rose of Seymour and Matthew House of Maryland; parents, Sammy and Janet House of Hayden; brothers, Sam (Rachel) House Jr. of Dupont and Vernon Daniel (Theresa Morgan) House of Florida; sister, Charity (Jon) Hill of Seymour; and grandchild, Kenzley Carpenter of Seymour.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his grandparents.</p> <p>A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in North Vernon. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be in the Cana Cemetery in Jennings County. Arrangements were in care Dove-Sharp &amp; Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service.</p>
