Jerry Alan Helms, Jr.

Jerry Alan Helms, Jr., 32, of Boonville, Indiana passed peacefully on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Jerry was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville, Indiana on May 11, 1989 to Jerry Helms, Sr. and Shannon Holder. Jerry, Jr., Bubby, Jer-Bear, The Funny Guy. With as many names as he went by it's easy to see he was well known and loved by many. But if you never really got to know Jerry himself, you likely knew his one-of-a-kind, contagious laugh! It was safe to say that if Jerry was around, there wasn’t a dull moment. It didn’t matter if it was a family event, a scheduled shift together, or even having a class with him in school. You could always count on a good time if Jerry was present. But don’t let the jokes and the laugh fool you. He had the biggest, sweetest, and most generous heart. He truly loved his friends and family and would always be happy to lend a helping hand. When he wasn’t at work or joking with friends and family, he enjoyed gaming. That wasn’t just limited to video games, but board games as well. Some of his favorites were Magic, Pokémon GO, Monopoly, Pass the Pigs. When you played with him, he didn’t care about winning, it was the quality time that he loved most. Jerry had a strong faith and enjoyed attending church. Jerry is survived by his parents, Jerry Helms, Sr. and Shannon Holder; sisters, Chelsea Helms and Autumn Holder; brother, Hunter Helms; grandparents, Mark and Delane Helms; nieces, Amrie and Ally; nephew, Anden; step-siblings, Justin, Chris and Jaycee; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Koehler Funeral Home, 304 E. Main St., Boonville, IN 47601. Friends and family may gather from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.

When I hurd about this I lost myself jerry-bear was my best friend. I wish it was a bad dream I can just wake up from and he would just be here making jokes to cheer me up but unfortunately that's not true. I miss and Love you Jerry-bear .....😔 Until we meet again ❤️
