Willie Netha Holloway was born January 10, 1931 to the late, Maude Sutton and Richard Bailey, on Sapelo Island, GA. (McIntosh County) where she received her primary education. She was a member of Morning Glory Baptist Church and she loved playing the Cash 3, watching her television shows, such as Wheel of Fortune, The Price Is Right, along with the old Westerns and sitting on her front porch. Willie Netha retired as a Cook at Captain Joe's Seafood in Jesup, Ga. Willie Netha passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021. She is preceded in her death by both of her parents, Richard and Maude Bailey; her late husband, Lester Holloway Sr. and Helen Walker, who was like a sister. She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Wilma McCall; three sons, Lester Holloway, Jr. (Lois), Richard Holloway, Sr. and Jerome Holloway (Bobbie); 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of cousins from Sapelo Island, GA. Willie Netha was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her. There will be a walk thru viewing held on a Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 12 Noon until 5:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM, at Sunset Oaks Memorial Garden, 1580 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, Ga. Everyone planning to attend services are asked to wear your masks and adhere to the social distancing guidelines set by the local authorities regarding COVID 19.
