Thomas Childers SHARON Thomas Edward "Buster" Childers, 73, of 3016 Shannon Street died Friday, October 14, 2011, at his home in Sharon. The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Hickory Grove Church of God. Rev. David Brown and Rev. Mike Goodwin will be officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Church of God Cemetery. Thomas was a son of the late Noah Childers and Velma Smith Childers. He was the widower of Shirley Brakefield Childers. He is survived by son Tommy Childers of Sharon, SC, daughter Becky Comer of Sharon, SC, three sisters, Shirley Hawkins of York, SC, Dorothy Helms of Lincolnton, NC, Diane Martin of Fort Mill, SC, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three children, Douglas Childers, Jeff Childers, Annette Boyd, sister Margie Blackwelder, and brother Alton Childers.
