Norris Wayne Bates, age 80, of Huntsville, AL, formerly of Lincoln County, TN, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Madison County, AL on February 1, 1941 to the late Jim C. Bates and Eva Lou Callahan Bates. He was retired from Baptist Hospital where he worked as a custodian. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Dolores Bates. Mr. Bates is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Joelton Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Stan Mullins officiating.
