William “Bill” Drennen Age: 72 Of: Clermont, FL Passes Away: September 12, 2021, at South Lake Hospital He was born in Newark, NJ Predeceased by his parents: Edward and Irene Drennen Survived by: his wife, Edna Drennen, their children, Kenneth (Darcy), Gwendolyn, Christina, Jason (Shanda), Brian, Chineida, and grandchildren. He also leaves his brothers, Edward (Dorothy) and Forrest (Phyllis). Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 beginning at 10:30 a.m., at the Brewer and Sons Clermont Chapel. Homegoing service will begin at 11:00 a.m., on October 5, 2021, at Brewer and Sons Clermont Chapel Officiant: Pastor Edward P. Jordon, II OBITUARY Mr. Drennen was born in Newark, NJ where he was educated through the public school system. He was a Veteran of the New Jersey Army National Guard and a graduate of Liberty University earning a Bachelor's Degree in Religion. He loved the Lord and served in many areas within the church. He was best known as Deacon Drennen. He also worked for twenty years as a Manager for the Hartz Mountain Corporation. Bill loved his wife, Edna, and their children, Kenneth (Darcy), Gwendolyn, Christina, Jason (Shanda), Brian, Chineida, and all of the grandchildren. He also leaves his brothers, Edward (Dorothy) and Forrest (Phyllis). ORGANIZATION & AMP; BACKGROUND Bill gave God an awful lot of glory through his passion for serving. He is a tremendous example of a man with a servant’s heart. His passions in life were loving and serving the Lord and educating others. He exemplified those passions by his service as a Deacon and Associate Pastor under the Pastoral Leadership of Edward P. Jordan, II, and serving as Assistant Chaplain at South Lake Hospital. There is a spirit of compassion in every educator that transcends infinity. Bill’s spirit of compassion as an educator, whether teaching Christian Education, home school curriculum, or General Education, is a testament to his conviction. Bill leaves behind a legacy of service, compassion, and spirit.
