John Johnny Stephen McCarter, 69, of York, SC passed away on Saturday, January 09, 2021. Johnny was born on August 10, 1951 in York County, SC. He was the son of Martha Turner McCarter and the late Elvin Maxie McCarter. He was a member of Tirzah Presbyterian Church in York, SC. In addition to his mother, Johnny is survived by his wife, Nancy Zimmerman McCarter, daughters, Niki Perkins (Kade), Wendy Koblish (Koby), Sara Beth Heck (Chris), brothers, Richard McCarter (Joyce), Jerry McCarter (Glenna), sister, Barbara Allred (Paul), and grandchildren, Callen Koblish and Connor Koblish. In memory of John McCarter, memorials may be made to Tirzah Presbyterian Church, 180 Tirzah Rd. York, SC 29745. All services will be private.
