Vernon Vern Smith Carroll, 75, of York, SC passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021 peacefully at his home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC with the Reverend David Shytle officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service. Vern was born on July 18, 1945 in York County. He was the son of the late Hubert Smith Carroll and Vada Mae Pruitt Carroll. He is survived by his son, Scott Carroll; first wife, Laura Adams, second and former wife, Shirley Carroll; and sisters: Brenda Adams and Lavenia Costner. In addition to his parents, Vernon was preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya Carroll.
