Betty Duddy

Betty Lou Duddy, 87, of Bardstown, KY, passed away Friday, September 4, 2021 at home with her daughter and granddaughter by her side. Betty was born in Muskogee, OK, the daughter of Eden May Myers and Erivin Loloss. She traveled the U.S. with her mom and dad picking cotton and citrus. She married her one true love Samuel B. Duddy on May 26, 1951, in Phoenix, Arizona. They were married for 53 years. Sam and Betty renewed their vows on May 26, 2001 at their family church SAG in Enterprise, Oklahoma. Sam passed away in 2004. They had 3 children. She was a very loving mom, grandma, great grandma and great great grandma. She was called Dolly by her family in Oklahoma. Betty got the name from her older brother Eddie. He called her Dolly the first time he saw her. Betty was a house wife while raising her three children. She worked at the Mormon church daycare once her last child started school. After they bought their first home, she cleaned houses til her and Sam got in to archery. She owned her own business Wayside Custom Arrow. Betty was a master arrow maker. In the summer she was so happy to have her to grandsons David and Frank learn to make arrows. They both helped her make arrows for many years. Even after she and Sam retired to Eufaula OK she made arrows and shipped them all over the U.S. Her two grandsons would travel to Oklahoma in the summers to help until she retired her arrow business. Sam passed away in 2004. She moved back to Arizona with her son David and his wife until January 2021, when her daughter-in-law passed away. Betty then moved to Bardstown, KY to live with her daughter, Annette. Survivors include: her children and their spouses, Garry and Pam of Arizona, David of Arizona, and Annette of Kentucky; grandchildren and their spouses, David Jr. and Cricket of Arizona, Frank and Yoly of Kentucky, Samantha and Lance of Arizona, Tina and Ivan of Arizona, Rick and girlfriend Jami of Arizona, Paul of Arizona; great grandchildren, Charles and Geoffrey both of Arizona, Chance of Kentucky, Hailey of Arizona, Tricee of Arizona, Trinity of Arizona, Nate of Arizona, Ava of Arizona, Jayla of Arizona and Colton of Kentucky and two great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by a sister in law, Marion. Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Samuel, her mother, Edna May, her dad, Erivin, her brother, Ed and her daughter in law Geri, wife of David, Sr., granddaughter Dee Dee. She loved all her fur babies, through the years and her grand fur babies.
