Francis "Frank" N. Viniconis, Jr. Obituary

Francis “Frank” N. Viniconis Jr., 63, of Suffield CT, husband of Sharon Carter, passed peacefully in his sleep on Sunday (September 12, 2021). Squeak, as his family affectionately dubbed him, dreamed of being a fighter pilot as a child. With a 6'4" frame, however, it was not to be. Staying true to his passion he became a respected aviation parts inspector who took pride in his extensive aircraft knowledge. He came from an experienced farming family, spending countless hours mastering both produce and tobacco crops. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed the thrill of fishing, especially ice fishing on Lake Congamond. He would happily grill a fresh caught fish for anyone who would greet him on the ice. He was gifted when it came to cooking and would readily feed his family and friends. Sometimes forcibly. He was regularly the life of the party and would willingly give the shirt off his back to a stranger in need. He leaves behind three sons, Nathan Viniconis and his wife Corey of Wallingford, Craig Viniconis and his wife Laura of Enfield, and Kyle Viniconis of Enfield; two granddaughters, Arya and Corrin Viniconis; two Sisters, Betty Hunderfund in WA and Jane Hartshorn in SC; two step-sons Alex Carter and Greg Carter, and 3 step-grandchildren. Born in Suffield, CT and raised by his late parents, Olga and Francis Norman Viniconis, Sr., he attended and graduated from Suffield High School. As a young adult, he felt the call of wanderlust and moved to Seattle, WA in 1978. Missing his family, he returned to Connecticut in 1986 where he raised his three sons. In 2005, he was lucky enough to meet and fall in love with Sharon, his objectively better half. They spent time living in both Enfield and Suffield. He leaves a giant hole in many lives and will be both missed terribly and remembered fondly. We love you, Squeak. His family will receive friends Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 2-4 PM at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N.(Rt. 159), Suffield. There will be an opportunity to share remembrances.
