Funeral services for Kimberly Jo Green Payne, age 51 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 17, 2021, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Acworth, Georgia at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 18, 2021. Rev. Cole Morris will officiate. Mrs. Payne was born August 16, 1970, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jo English Powser. She has lived in Laurens County for the past 16 years coming from Kennesaw. She had previously worked in Hospitality at La Quinta Inn. She was a member of Liberty Church. Mrs. Payne passed away, Sunday, September 12, 2021, at her residence. Mrs. Payne is survived by her husband, William Preston Payne; father, Robert Wesley Green; stepmother, Virginia Green, stepfather, Bob Powser, 3 sons, Robert Austin Verneir, William Bradley Payne, and William Dustin Payne; a daughter, Kristin Elaine Payne; 2 sisters, Kathleen Peters, and Melanie Cummings; and 4 grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. Friday, September 17, 2021, at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
