Cherryville - Mr. Roy Dean Anness, 48, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Atrium Health - Cleveland in Shelby.

Dean was born on February 22, 1973 in Park Ridge, Illinois a son of Linda Link Anness of Cherryville and the late Roy William Anness. He was employed by American Airlines. Dean was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Cherryville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy William Anness.

Survivors include his mother, Linda Link Anness of Cherryville; a brother, William Anness of Inman, SC; a sister, Tracy Anness of Cherryville and also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11:45am to 12:45pm on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. G. Scott Homesley officiating.

Burial will be at a later date at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
