<p>J.Y. Rosensteel, 89, of Apollo, Pa., passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at his home. He was born on Friday, March 4, 1932 in Orchard Hills, Pa., the son of the late George D. and Eliza Jane Walker Rosensteel.&nbsp; Before his retirement, he worked for the Santa Fe Railroad as a carpenter building bridges. He was a United States Army Veteran during the Korean War and reached the rank of Staff Sergeant. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved life to the fullest. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Bernice Eileen Brumberg Rosensteel, his children, Lorraine Gardner and her husband, Michael, of Henderson, NV, Judy Lynn Rosensteel of Butler and Tracy Lee LaPierre of Apollo, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda K. Braun, his son, Robert Sanford, his grandson, Christopher Barker, his brothers, George D. Rosensteel, Ira F. Rosensteel, Ambrose B. Rosensteel and Arthur W Rosensteel and his sisters, Sylvia M. Allen, Mary Jane Vigil and Naomi Fryer. At his request, all funeral arrangements were private.</p>
