It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Victor on September 10, 2021, at the age of 80 years. Predeceased by his long-time special friend Jean, he is survived by his two beloved children Maureen  MacDonell and Carol Lajoie (Marc). Cherished grandfather of Christopher MacDonell (Ashley), Matthew MacDonell (Kristen), Timothy MacDonell (Victoria), Patrick Lajoie, Nicholas Lajoie, great grandfather to Joni, Riley, Nolan and Leon. Vic was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Marie Louise (nee Ethier) Belecque, his sister Aline and brother Leo. He is survived by his sisters Marguerite Ranger (Jerry -deceased), Rita Brown (Malcolm-deceased), Vivianne Lebel (Larry -deceased) and brothers Dollard Belec (Louise) and Gerry “Gee Gee” Belecque (Paulette). Vic will be forever cherished by his special niece Suzanne “Sue Sue” (Robert) whom the family wishes to thank for their care and compassion, and a thank you to Guy for all his errands and friendship over the years. Vic was a well-known barber on Cassells Street for 46 years, having cut the hair of many generations. Cremation has occurred and the family wish to invite all to a graveside service on Monday September 27, 2021, at 1pm at Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired donations are suggested to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association and would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
