Eric Lee Edison Sr Obituary

Eric Lee Edison Sr. Was born in Taft, Texas on May 12, 1977 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 7, 2021, he was 44 years young.

He is preceded in death by his father, Sylvester Conrado Edison; grandparents, Ramona Aguilar Mireles, and Jesus “Jesse” Mireles.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Donna Edison; children, Andru, Trystan, Eric Jr, and his baby girl Sydnee “Bella”; mother, Lupe Martinez; siblings, Joel Edison, Elaine Rodgers, Stephen Cardenas Sr, Tim Martinez, Jesse “Bubba” Martinez, and Audrey Waldrop and their wonderful spouses; 10 nieces, 10 nephews, 4 great-nieces, 5 great-nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Eric was a lifetime resident of Ingleside, TX where he formed so many lifelong friendships. After high school IBEW electrician apprenticeship program, he was able to travel with family while he worked and thoroughly enjoyed the time with them, he eventually was employed by Valero Refinery where he was employed for the last 13 years. He loved fishing in the bays of the surrounding areas of his hometown making many memories with family and friends. He could navigate a boat like he was born to be on the water. Eric loved to duck, and deer hunt, could tell you almost every type of bird and duck that would fly by. One of his proudest accomplishments was that he was able to take his wife and children to hunt their first bucks at the same deer lease he did as a teenager and that he was able to be there with them all to witness and experience it. There really wasn’t anything outdoor that Eric didn’t love, from spending time in the pool and bbqing to floating the Frio River in the day and having campfires in the evening with all his loved ones while listening and dancing to all his favorite songs, which he knew every word to. He loved vacationing with his family every year and making lifetime memories that we will forever cherish, playing 42, moon, and Texas Hold Em with family, friends, and co-workers. His personality was like no other and his laughter was contagious, he would always leave you smiling. Eric could light up any dark room, he genuinely loved life and gave the best hugs that could make your whole day better no matter the situation. His love for his family was like no other, a wonderful husband and father, always wanting his family to know he loved and supported them in everything they did, their #1 fan, even if sometimes he had to watch from outside the gates. He was lucky enough to get to coach all his children in one sport or another throughout the years. Eric was such a friendly guy, would strike up conversations with anyone, never having met a stranger, most definitely leaving a lasting impression on them. We are better for knowing him, loving him, and being loved by him. We are all so blessed to have had him in our lives, he will forever be missed but never forgotten.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021. A Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. all at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. Interment to follow at Prairie View Cemetery.
